Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration 2017

It’s that time of year again…. Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-Bration 2017 starts today! And it doesn’t end there – it’s also launch day for the new Spring Summer Catalogue.

If you are familiar with Stampin’ Up! (or indeed a fellow addict like me) then you will know that Sale-a-Bration rewards everyone and is the best promotion of the Stampin’ Up! year. And we have until 31st March to take advantage of it.

For every £45 you spend, you can choose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. There are 12 items to choose from, and Stampin’ Up! have promised to add more items in the middle of February. If you order online you will be prompted to add your free items. Don’t forget to use my host code for an additional free gift from me. If your order is £150+ you get to spend the 10% Stampin’ Rewards you’ve earned, in addition to the 3 free Sale-a-Bration items.

There are also extra Stampin’ Rewards to be earned. Host a party with £200+ in sales (or place a £200+ order yourself) and you will earn an extra £20 on top of the usual Stampin’ Rewards. That means that for a £225 order, you would get £25 + £20 Stampin’ Rewards to spend, and you could choose 5 Sale-a-Bration items free!

The best offer of all however is that anyone buying the starter kit during Sale-a-Bration gets to choose an additional 2 stamp sets free. That means that you pay £99 but choose £130 worth of product from the Annual and NEW Spring Summer Catalogues, and then you get to choose another 2 stamp sets on top. You then get the 20% discount and all the Sale-a-Bration rewards with all your own orders. Becoming a demonstrator is one of the best decisions I have made – I have met so many friends and been able to take part in so many amazing events, and I would love to share that with you. If you have questions please get in touch to see if this is the right opportunity for you.

Sneak Peaks from the Autumn Winter Catalogue from Stampin’ Up!

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Being overwhelmed by the prospect of new crafting goodies is becoming a trend. I think I need help! But two bundles really caught my attention in the new Autumn Winter Seasonal catalogue from Stampin’ Up!, and one of them was the Star of Light bundle. You can’t go wrong with stars for a classic Christmas design can you?

I decided to make a shaker card, which also allowed me to use the beautiful Fancy Frost sequins. Even though the catalogue shows the Fancy Frost suite used for New Year projects, I think they are crying out to be used with stars and snowflakes. I also used ribbon from the Glitter Ribbon combo pack in the same suite, tied with some Silver Metallic thread.

Aren’t the sequins beautiful? It’s a pity that standing shaker cards up kind of messes up the effect! If you are putting glitter (or the new Mica powders we have in the new catalogue), it’s a good idea to use an Embossing Buddy on the inside of the window sheet to remove static and ensure that the glitter doesn’t just stick to the acetate. My Embossing Buddy was also vital in getting the clean finish with the silver embossed sentiment and stars, which are also in the Star of Light set.

I’d be lying if I said that the months from September to January are my favourite – I just love planning for Christmas. My problem is that it’s also my busiest time at school, so my plans often come to nothing. I will keep on trying though. Maybe this year I’ll get everything sorted in time…

Stampin’ Up! Sneak Peeks for a Pinkies Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! UK Pinkies Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We’re showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

I honestly can’t believe it’s nearly time for another new Annual Catalogue, with all the excitement of new In Colours and LOADS of new products. In fact, contained within the 212 pages, there are:

  • 175 new tools & accessories
  • 377 new products overall
  • 450 project samples

Isn’t that amazing?

While we only get a limited selection of products available to us to preorder before the catalogue launches, I found it quite hard to decide what to use…. but then an idea to do some inlaid die cutting with the Swirly Scribbles framelits and the new In Colours came to me (not quite in a dream… but it was close!). This is what I came up with as my sneak peek from the new catalogue:

swirly scribbles

I’ve used Dapper Denim and Sweet Sugarplum – I think these two colours coordinate very well, don’t you? And I HAVE to love Dapper Denim as it won me a prize patrol at On Stage recently.

If you look closely, you can see how I’ve used the framelits to cut out the shapes from the Sweet Sugarplum layer and some Whisper White cardstock. The white pieces then slot in to the negative left behind. And yes, it was rather like a jigsaw puzzle fitting the Sweet Sugarplum “bits” back in to the spaces. It was made rather harder by the door bell ringing and making me jump… scattering the carefully laid out pieces ALL over the table! Also, cling film doesn’t work quite as well as US glad wrap for keeping die cut pieces in place. I might have to source some of that if I’m going to attempt something similar again!

Thank you for visiting today, and please do hop on through our blog hop as there are lots of lovely projects we want to share with you.
